Intro

I received this order on Fiverr from a Swiss client. Although the project was straightforward, it was slightly challenging as it required developing a native Android application in Java with server communication via API. The order was completed quickly, and the client was highly satisfied. The app was specifically created for a single client of theirs, Scholler Plast Storage, to streamline their storage management processes.

Problems

The main challenge I faced was that I had no prior experience creating mobile applications in Java. However, by watching tutorials and exploring Stack Overflow, I managed to deliver the project within a week. Initially, everything felt new and overly complicated, but I quickly adapted. The app's key features included scanning items, searching for them in the database, and determining whether to add or remove them from storage. I also integrated a QR-code scanner and added functionality to store API credentials in a settings tab. Despite the learning curve, this project turned out to be a valuable and rewarding experience.
