Culinara is a promising new Ukrainian culinary project featuring hundreds of categorized recipes for the kitchen and bar. It offers step-by-step video tutorials by top Ukrainian chefs, complete with ingredient lists, tools, and instructions. Users can search for recipes based on available ingredients, dietary restrictions, or allergies, and even extract ingredient lists from chosen dishes. The project includes a mobile app, web app, and website, all designed to meet diverse user needs.
Intro
I joined the project unexpectedly, thanks to a strong recommendation from a developer for whom I had built a mobile MVP in just four days. The company faced tight deadlines and a seemingly impossible workload. Their team lead gave me some critical system issues to solve, and after I provided effective solutions, I was accepted onto the project without further interviews. I worked extensively on both the mobile and web apps, dedicating long hours and weekends to meet the deadlines. The project manager was impressed by the volume of tickets I closed in such a short time, often saying, "This complex task is perfect for Vlad". Soon, I became a key contributor to the project's most critical processes, including creating promo codes for partners and implementing analytics.
Problems solved
I was responsible for developing key admin panel features, including promo codes, food and user management, notification and email campaign tools. Additionally, I resolved complex bugs in both the mobile and web apps, planned and implemented the entire promo code and notification systems, and integrated subscriptions on both the frontend and backend. Currently, I focus on maintaining the application.
